Stop doing this ASAP if you want to book more clients in your VA, OBM or SMM business

When it comes to getting more clients in your VA, OBM or SMM business, there are few things you need to make sure you’re NOT doing.

(P.S. Don’t worry, these are super easy things to fix and things you probably don’t even realize you’re doing!)

You see, when you’re hustling and taking fast action and trying to build your biz SUPER quick, you just plain forget to look at some of these small (but uber important) things.

For example, you forget to spell check your posts, emails and general communications with potential clients. 🤦‍♀️

And while this might seem like no big deal (cause like #progressoverperfection, right?), you need to remember that you ARE a VA, OBM or SMM. Meaning, it’s sorta kinda your job to be detail oriented... and so you’ve got to be showing up this way not just in a client’s biz but in your own biz, too.

If your posts or emails have typos or missing links, then what you’re saying is essentially… “I am not detail oriented enough to work in your biz.”

Sooooo, let’s stop showing people that you’re the wrong hire and START spell checking that shit before ANYTHING goes out the door, k? K!

Here’s what else you need to stop doing if you want to book more clients right MEOW.

Stop showing up inconsistently.

If you want more clients… If you want to make more money… If you want to be booked out in your biz… and you’re *not* showing up consistently?

Then THAT needs to become your #1 focus!

Because when you reach out to a potential client or when a potential client is referred to your work, then the first place they’re going to look is your digital resume. (Aka, your social media accounts.)

You don’t have to be showing up on social 7 days a week 24 hours a day but you DO have to pick a level of consistency that feels sustainable for you and make a commitment to executing on that plan regularly.

Because if a potential client goes to stalk you online and you haven’t posted since March 2015?

Well, they might think you’re not even in business anymore 🤷

Stop showing up without confidence.

I know how hard it can be to show up and toot your own horn. After all, we’re often told, from a young age, to not be so loud, or “to be seen and not heard” or to make sure we don’t take up too much space or to not brag or draw attention to ourselves. 

But I promise you, the clients of mine that have had the BIGGEST results and that book out with clients in the QUICKEST amount of time are the clients who are so confident in what they’re doing. 

And they’re showing up with that confidence on social media, sales calls and everywhere in between.

Because people want to hire experts who are confident in how they can help. Just think about your own buying patterns. Are you buying from people who say, “Well, I have this thing and if you want to buy it then that’s fine.” … Or are you buying from the people who say, “I am the best thing since sliced bread and I am the best investment you can make in your biz.” 

You don’t have to know EVERYTHING to be an expert and to show up confident in how you help. (Nor do you have to be the ONLY person who can do what you do.) But you DO need to know more than your potential clients (and I bet you do x100).

For example, I am not the only person who knows how to help VAs, OBMs and SMMs make more money and book more clients in their biz. But I AM more of an expert than every single one of my clients and THAT is why I can be confident each and every time I show up.

Stop making discovery calls all about YOU.

Y’all, once you start showing up with confidence and can clearly communicate why you are the right person to solve your client’s problem… don’t make the discovery call all about you!

Anytime you’re talking to a potential client you want to make it about them WAY before you make it about yourself.

Share why you believe in the work THEY do.
Share why you believe in THEIR story.
Share why you resonate with the message THEY have.
Ultimately, share why you want to work for THEM.

That’s the name of the game. When you make it about your potential clients, you stand out from the crowd and ultimately make way more money, too!

Spell check everything you send out the door. 
Show up consistently online. 
Position yourself as an expert and bring your confidence to the table. 
Make discovery calls about your clients. 

When you put all four of these puzzle pieces together you STOP turning off your potential clients and instead make it SO much easier for them to be like ‘hell yes!’ when it comes to working with you!
