For the first 30-ish years of my life I thought the key to success was HUSTLE and DRIVE and HARD WORK.
And y'all...those things are important. Oprah isn’t Oprah because she waited for success to knock on her door and bop her on the head, right? Nope. Oprah is Oprah because she worked for it, showed up consistently, learned and never gave up.
But here’s the truth about success. If your mindset isn’t right, nothing else will be.
And Oprah is a sparkly, shining example of that.
Sure, it’s easy for her to practice meditation, journal all the time, watch her thoughts like a hawk and cultivate things that bring her joy and happiness...she’s a billionaire with a capital B.
But, Oprah will be the first one to admit that should wouldn’t be where she is today without a rock-solid mindset and belief in herself.
And my dear?
The same is true for you.
If what you desire right now is to build or scale your business so that you can enjoy your life more...then you’re going to need to start looking inward, STAT. Because your mindset is the most important determining factor of your success. Pinkie promise.

Mindset is everything.
I know I sound like a broken record here, but it’s for good reason. Mindset is the most undervalued resource in your business. And once you start a solid mindset practice and apply what you’re learning to business, the sky is the limit.
Here’s how I know:
I’ve been in business for myself a little over 2 years. I’ve had the coveted $10K months and found myself “stuck” at that number for quite some time.
But last month I had my first $15K month in business.
Want to know what I did to increase my monthly revenue by 50%?
Here’s a hint: it wasn’t a better strategy, working harder, sleeping less, more followers, or skirting the IG algorithm.
It was mindset.
Honestly, the month of March was probably my most “lax” month in a while. I didn’t work more hours, quite the opposite. I traveled, celebrated my birthday and spent more time at the gym and with my family, which meant less time working. I was still IN my business daily, I just wasn’t constantly trying to force myself into a new level by playing the hustle game.
Instead, I zeroed in on my mindset. I watched and reframed my thoughts better, I did massive (daily) mindset work with the container that is the Happy Magic program, I took care of myself, made more time for fun and trusted that I was enough.
Mostly...I believed it was mine and by the end of the month it was.
That’s the magic of mindset. And it truly is everything. Your thoughts become things and if you believe something is possible then the only thing standing in the way of your success is you.
A mindset practice and the energy you put towards it is MORE important than the implementation you’re doing in your business.
If you’re new to mindset or manifesting work, here’s what I recommend:
Commit to a practice for 90 days (none of this 1 week BS!)
Start journaling what it is you want in your life or business, daily
Start a gratitude list, daily
Practice affirmations around what you want in your business or life, daily

2. Every day won’t feel like sunshine and rainbows...that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
No amount of mindset work will remove the human experience from your life, my friend.
The point in doing mindset work isn’t to will away the hard, bad, scary, mean or harsh parts of life. The point is to better equip you with tools to handle those things. And ultimately, to help you not spiral and get stuck down a deep, dark shame hole when you do.
And the truth?
Starting and running a business will bring up all your mindset demons. Feelings of unworthiness, enoughness, fear and anxiety are so common among entrepreneurs. In fact, it’s what keeps MOST people from ever actually finding success in their business.
But understanding that every day isn’t going to feel like unicorns and lattes (and that’s normal) is part of what will actually help you make success happen.
Because here’s what’s up: if you can learn to be happy where you are now MORE than you’re unhappy...you’re WINNING. If you’re happy 51% of the time and can use the mindset tools you have to get yourself there, you’ve already won! It’s about progress, not perfection. And progress is ENOUGH.
There’s a damn good reason vulnerability is such a buzz word these days. It’s because the more we share and own our truth without shame the more we give others permission to do the same.
In your business and in your personal life, I encourage you to be vulnerable. Share parts of you that are less than perfect, be willing to admit when you’re wrong and see what would happen if you didn’t tie everything up into a pretty little bow.
You’ll start to realize your experiences aren’t so unique, they’re actually part of the shared human experience. And bonus: you’ll help others realize that too!
3. If your business isn’t working the way you want, turn to mindset first.
Many of my clients come to me for support and guidance in starting or scaling an online business that isn’t their first attempt. Often, they’ve been involved with MLMs, other online or brick-and-mortar businesses but know that those first attempts didn’t work for a reason and that they need to create a solid foundation to make this try the last, final, successful one.
