I’m breaking down 3 of the reasons it actually IS hard to start and scale a biz… and how to make it easier for yourself ASAP. 

I have a feeling these 3 things are going to surprise you, because I’m not about to tell you some grand marketing strategy or ask you to double your workload. Oh, no, no, no! 

Instead, I’m going to help you get REALLY clear on what’s (subconsciously) holding you back… and how you can shift your mindset (so that you shift your results) right the hell now.

1. You think it’s easier for everyone else.

It’s time for a truth bomb, y’all. You see, there’s this misunderstanding in the online space where we think whatever has been hard for us must have been easier for someone else.

As in, when you’re trying to do something new (like start a biz), you look at those who came before you and think it MUST have been easier for them. They must not have had the same fears, doubts, worries and concerns you do. 

But sister this just ain’t true.

It is hard and scary to start something new for EVERYONE across the board... because our brain is actually working against us (biologically). 

You see, your brain has one job and one job only: to keep you alive. So, anything that it might perceive as new makes your brain hesitate. It’s thinking, “Woah, wait, backup, we don’t know what that is and so it might be dangerous.”

Your brain just doesn’t know the difference between starting a biz and, for example, running away from a lion. 

It’s really, really normal to feel fear and it’s something we all have to deal with. Your job isn’t to get rid of the fear, it’s to find a way to move through it and consistently take action anyway.


2. You’re not making yourself a priority.

I find that so many women come to the online space having been taught that in order to create success you have to sacrifice yourself. 

So, they hustle, hustle, hustle until one day they realize they haven’t been happy in far too long. They finally realize they started a biz because the corporate culture of hustle didn’t work for them… and yet they created a biz that looks exactly the same. #oops

Making yourself a priority will net you WAY more results, because like attracts like!

Meaning, if you’re in hustle hustle hustle mode, then you’re gonna call hustle, hustle, hustle into your biz. You’re gonna call in clients who aren’t respectful of your boundaries or desire to have balance.

On the other hand, when you have beautiful boundaries and know you get to have a life and enjoy that life outside your biz, then those are the clients you attract.

Your job is to be a match for the kind of life you’re wanting to lead. If you want the balanced business that supports you financially AND personally, then you gotta live that life now. 

Because when you’re high vibe and happy, it’s SO much easier to call more of that into your life. Quite frankly, I don’t have any clients who create success AND are happy while being miserable and stressed all the dang time.

3. You believe it’s hard to get clients.

If you’re telling yourself (or others) that you want more clients, do you believe it’s easy to get those clients... or do you believe it’s hard?

I ask this question for one big reason → because what you believe to be true IS your reality.

If you believe that it’s hard to get clients, hard to find clients who pay you what you want, or hard to find clients who respect your boundaries… then you’ll ALWAYS find that to be true in your reality, too. 

On the other hand, if you believe it’s easy to find clients that pay you want you want and are in alignment with your values, then those are the clients you’re going to find and the experience you’re going to have.

The people who are always looking for more clients are the people who believe (on some level) that it’s HARD to get those clients.

I know this can be a little triggering to hear, but if the clients aren’t flowing in then we’ve gotta get your brain on board with what you want.

If you want more clients, then the first thing you gotta do (even before the marketing) is shift your mindset to think it can be EASY to get the clients you want.

As you do this, plus you let yourself be a priority + feel the fear yet show up anyway, you’re going to find that business just got a hell of a lot easier (and way more fun, too)!
